Capture Mode: Single - Immediately take the picture.  2S Timer, 5S Timer, 10S Timer - sets a delay of 2, 5, or 10 Seconds before the picture is taken. Resolution: 12M, 10M, 8M, 7M, 5M, 3M, 2M, or VGA . Quality: Super Fine, Fine and Normal. Sharpness: Sharp, Normal and Soft. Exposure: Setting the brightness of the picture.  Standard setting is 0 but, if experience shows that this is generally too dark or too light, it can be changed by +1, +2, +3 or -1 , -2 or -3. White Balance: A selection of the most common light sources.  Auto (allows the camera to select),  or chose Daylight, Cloudy, Fluorescent or Incandescent. Color Balance: Standard is usual but choosing Sepia, Monochrome or Vivid can add an interesting effect. ISO: Auto, 100, 200 or 400. Scene Mode: Auto, Scenery, Portrait, Night Scenery, Night Portrait, High Sensitivity or Beach. Face Detect: Off, Face Detect or Smile Capture. Anti-Shake: On or Off. Continue Shot: On or Off - Taking multiple pictures on one press of the OK button.  Photos will continue to be taken until the OK button is pressed again.
With the Recording Mode turned off (Press OK), pressing the ! button once will select the Still Photo. The icon (13) will appear in the top left of the screen. Image file numbers are visible in the top right corner of the screen.  (1 Pictures can be viewed in Playback. Pressing OK will take a picture. Screen Icons:
Still Camera Settings With Still Camera selected, press M for Menu.  There are 3 screens of settings. Select the required setting by using the (Down)(Up) keys and then press OK for the options under that setting.  Use the Down and Up keys to make further selections.  Pressing OK to confirm will return to the previous Menu or other option if available.
